One thing a couple of weeks of play gives us is a bit of form to go on. But the fact that only two teams have one hundred per cent records so early in the campaign suggests that the top seven places are very much up for grabs. Yes I know they haven’t played yet, but that doesn’t mean I can’t speculate about who may be in the frame to come out of the blocks quickly this weekend. I remember the opening day two seasons ago when Dagenham and Redbridge announced their campaign with a 6-0 demolition of Chester City. But that result signalled more than a good run of form for Dagenham, it was the beginning of the very sad end for Chester. [Read more...]
