With just two teams left to battle it out in today’s World Cup Final, all of the other squads have left South Africa and their players have travelled back to their respective homes or taken a well earned holiday. The Premier League needs to keep attracting new talent from abroad in the close season to maintain its status as the greatest domestic competition in the world. Only the top six teams in the Prem can compete with the wages being offered in La Liga and Serie A. All is not lost if you support one of the other 16 teams.
