Fans of Everton will be shocked to hear today that their England Under-21 midfielder Dan Gosling has left the club as a free agent, after the player rejected the offer of a new contract. He made 22 senior appearances for the club and scored 4 goals, one of which knocked local rivals Liverpool out of the FA Cup in February 2009.
